Welcome to The Butterfly Gardener.
Live butterfly displays all over the world have been a favourite day out destination for many years, some as stand alone exhibitions, others as part of a large visitor attraction.
With the recent technological advances in artificial lighting, heating and cooling systems, it is now possible to create a world class butterfly exhibit almost anywhere using the traditional glass house, polythene structures or even inside buildings with little or no natural light.
Over the last nineteen years I have designed, created and consulted on some of the most prestigious commercial and private butterfly houses in the world including bespoke built conservatories, one of the largest butterfly farms in Europe and 2008-2011 exhibitions on the front lawns of the Natural History Museum in London.
Thirty two years ago I built my first butterfly house when I was just six years old.
Designing and creating butterfly exhibitions is not just my business,
it is my life long passion.
Sensational Butterflies is now open at the NHM London untill September 15th.
